laws are restricive when you are after ovens then keep you honest and wh awants that

Was talking to a mate on the weekend about campin etc and he innocently  tells me that his dad has a set of camp ovens.

"6 or 8 of them I think" he says " Had them since I can remember"

The Soot is weak at the knees, drooling ; has to sit as he plans his long range attack to obtain this collection.

" You alright " he asks " Ya look a bit funny"

'I'm OK" as I plan the perfect crime. Conversation drifts from the treasure  to fishing and such.

"Wot sorta camp ovens ya old man got, any writin on em, e use em much?

" Yea sum writin on um, one a big sucker n they go down in size as I remember. Thinkin one is a big oval one"

Murder is lurking in the back of the mind as The Soot sits staring into space.

'Sure ya OK? look a bit funny to me, here I'll ya get another beer.
Bloody things were goin rusty out in the shed last time I was down there."

"I better get ya missus ya look a bit crook ta me, ere av a rum ta fix ya up'

The Soot cries silently into the glass of rum, drinks it, then remembers he hates rum

The Soot has resigned himself to a long and drawn out battle to obtain a set of CO's, make unknown, over 50 years old for $500

No stone will be left unturned, every  means fair or foul will be in play

Have no idea what they are Derek, could be a mixture but who cares.
Must be so many quietly rusting away out there.
Can remember them being used for dogs water containers as a boy and they weren't 9"
