Hi everyone, I am so excited to be here and find out more about camp cooking with a dutch oven as my boyfriend and I have only just purchased ours about a month back. So far we've made gorgeous beef stew and bread and butter pudding.. delicious! Smiley

A few old bricks a bag of heat beads and your away
SALTBUSH BILL ----thanks for the picture. That surely is a great inspiration. I had a fire pit at our home before we became Nomads. Every Sunday, I would fire up the pit, and set the tripod with my Furphy. Our CO roasts were the closest thing we could have to being out in the bush. I am not sure how to direct my email to on person,,, guess I'll learn as time goes on.

Welcome Candec!  Ti's a wonderous place here.  We are about an hours drive from you and have 4WD access.  If you ever feel totally fenced in, give a yell and head over here for a burn-off, cook in the coals and a bit of a bush bash.

cheers

AGE IS NO BARRIER! here, how else do us
younger ones learn

KD n B - both over 65 learnt heaps from the young ones at Thora & through COCIA and are having fun. As per Michael B :

KD suggests that if you want to receive a nice magazine in the mail with great CI recipes - join the International Dutch Oven Society:
