Hi there. We are Fran and Rick from north Queensland. We are not new to camp oven cooking but have already benefited from this site.
As people who love camping it has been great to use a camp oven in our travels and we look forward to learning more about this great piece if cookware.
We have made cakes, roasts, dampers and a few other unmentionable things over the years and never been disappointed.
A few years ago we cooked a roast dinner for a group of 18 people at an Easter camp that included roast chicken, pork and veggies.(see attached pic) it was cooked in three large ovens on the coals of an open fire. We normally just cook for two or three but it just goes to show what can be done.
We look forward to being a part of this group.
