My Grand daughter is allergic to dairy products as I am sure many people are so it becomes a challenge what to cook for them when we go camping. Smiley

Now being a CAMP OVEN NUT who likes to experiment but also likes to eat what I cook I thought I would have a go at a cake using RICE MILK AND NUTELEX as apposed to butter and dairy milk.

I used a Whitewings cake mix for the experiment and even if I do say so it was bloody magic.. You would not know the difference (yes I made it the normal way the other day). My Grand daughter can now join in and pig out with the rest of us..

I used a large camp oven as can be seen in the pics so as to allow plenty of air around the cake tin for good even cooking. The temp in the oven was 180 approx. 18 beads on top and 8 under is what I used (heat beads that is)

I have eaten 1/2 the cake so will need to keep some for the girl when she gets home tomorrow...
