I agree, shackles. My Mrs loves their bread for some reason. I find it is going stale by the next morning too. Over rated if you ask me.

Here you go.

Brian’s  Cheese, Bacon and Chive Damper
2 cups s/r flour
Good pinch of salt
1 Ľ cups water
Teaspoon of chopped Chives
2 rations of bacon cooked and chopped
2 handful of grated cheese
Mix flour salt and water. Add cheese, chives and bacon.
Don’t  knead the mix. Place into a cake tin and cook @ 180-200 deg. C
For about 30-45 min.
