And secondly how hot should I get the CO before cooking, and should I put most of the heat on top

King Brown and Rolly are both pretty good on the pizzas, hopefully they will pop in with some advise.

Hi Lewis  Smiley No need to crack the lid. It does not take very long to cook a pizza and just lifting the lid to check lets enough steam out I find. I suggest you get the oven pretty hot with most of the heat on the lid.
Good luck  Smiley

A few of us on here cook our pizzas with the camp oven upside down.

Cooking on the lid and lifting the base off with welding gloves.

Thanks for the tips,I had the oven abit to hot for the first pizza or I didnt check it quick Anough ,was checked after 20minutes with the oven around 210 and was abit burnt but editable, the 2nd and 3rd ones were much better,
I used baking paper on a trivet and was easy to get the pizzas in and out of the oven, found that tip of the forum and worked well, thanks again for the help
