I have spoken to Derek about this so am now posting to gauge interest in having a COG on the dates above. It would take place on my brothers property situated ten minutes out of Childers QLD, along the Isis Highway. There is over 300 acres so no neighbours to worry about.

There is a couple of acres of mowed lawn to camp on and a good sized area for camp oven cooking. (see photo) Because my brother has a small saw mill there is virtually an unlimited supply of free firewood. There is a long drop toilet and a bush shower and also tank water available but we ask that it is not wasted. Lastly, there is power available (if absolutely needed) at the shed located near where we camp and cook.

Anyway I can supply further information later but for now just asking for your thoughts and if you would be planning to attend.

Jeff

There are other events in that part of the country that I will be attending at about the same time frame, so it should suit me. I've not been to a cog, although we quite often have a camp oven cook up with our motorhome group. The cog's look and sound like a lot of fun. A pity I live so far from a lot of events.
Stubby.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel this COG as Jeff is now not able to attend.  Thanks Jeff for the efforts.  We nearly had our SEQ COGSmiley

If anyone has an alternate date/site for a south east Queensland COG in the new year please let us know otherwise we will meet you all at Alstonville.

Anyone got any ideas????
