Here is the recipe of the bread I use when I am cooking at functions. It is a very white and soft and slightly sweet bread that is easy to make and is quiet forgiving with kneading and rising times.

Ingredients

3.5 cups Plain Flour
3 Tablespoons White Sugar
1.5 Teaspoons Salt
2 Tablespoons Butter
1.5 cups tap water
7 gram yeast sachet

Knead for 5 minutes then rise for an hour in a warm place.
Repeat step one
After second rise knead again then divide the dough into two and place into a greased loaf tin. Slash across the top a couple of times with a serrated knife then let rise to about half the size of the first two rises (about 20 -25 minutes. It will rise the rest of the way during the cooking with this method.
Tip
For a bakers style crust put the bread tin on a trivet with about 100 mills of water under it. The water will evaporate out and leave a nice crust as in photo's below
