BRIE & SAUSAGE DIP

Please click on photo for full size image

Ingredients
Two sheets puff pastry
Several sausages - I used chicken sausages
Mini Brie
Egg for egg wash

...

Cut two circles from the pastry

...

Cut the rind off the top of the Brie and centre on a round of pastry

...

Place Strips of baking paper over the exposed pastry

...

Place the second sheet of pastry over the Brie and smooth down the sides. Slice through the pastry to create triangles and place a small amount of sausage meat on each triangle

...

Commence rolling each triangle into the centre

...

Complete rolling all triangles, remove the baking paper and go through the same process with the lower sheet of pastry

...

Transfer to a baking tray, give it an egg wash and pop it into a preheated camp oven

...

Cook for around 40 minutes until pastry is brown and crisp

...

Transfer to a serving plate and allow to slightly cool

...

Cut the top off the pastry above the Brie, break of a piece of the pastry and sausage, dip into the Brie and enjoy

...

With just the two of us it didn't last long

Maggie has already suggested small dice olive and pepperoni for the next one.

I would also consider sweet chilli sauce poured into the opening over the softened Brie when it is cooked.

I have cooked this and used olive tapenade and diced pepperoni. Sorry no photos.
