I was amazed how quickly it took for rust to appear...within 4 mins from removing the CO from the mix.....

A couple of hints from someone who cleans more old rusty #### in a month than most will in a life time.....to get the rust off..completely submerge the item back in clean water to stop oxygen getting at it while you get prepared for the next part of the operation.
If you have an air compressor , get it going ..build up full air.
if you have a heat gun / hair drier / paint stripper gun ...get it plugged in and ready to go.
Get a hand full of good clean dry rags.
Next ...get newly de-rusted item out of water , wipe all excess water of with rags, blow remaining water off with compressed air, immediate after that get stuck into it with the heat gun...even after all of this you will end up with a very fine layer of yellow.
once the item is ALMOST to hot to touch ..give it another rub with a green scourer or stainless steel wire brush.....this will get that yellow off......oil the item immediately after that while still hot and you will have a rust free item.

TBF cleaning up the vinegar mix
There was no thick scum in the tub like some I have seen on youtube...just a dirty brown water

Cause I'm  on septic tank...I disposed it on a block accross the road...was brown water with vinegar smell that was gone in few minutes ...rinced the tub out with garden hose...dried and stored away in shed..looking clean ready for use again when camping

Smokey I read almost everything freshly posted on the forum, but due to not knowing what I'm talking about, don't comment on a lot of posts  Roll Eyes. But threads like this are great information pieces to return back to in the future
