Steak,  Mushroom and Cheese Pie

Ingredients
Rump steak diced
Button mushrooms diced
Onion sliced
Cheese
Stock powder
Gravy
Garlic
Thyme
Oregano
Puff pastry
Shortcrust pastry
Salt & pepper

Method
In a smaller camp oven fry off garlic and onion till caramelized. Add steak and cook until browned. Add the mushrooms, cook until starting to soften, then cover with water and mix in some stock powder, herbs and season as desired. Simmer for an hour or so. Make a paste with gravy and cold water, add to the mix and stir until thickened.
Place shortcrust into pie dish, pour in mixture, top with slices of cheese and then top that with puff pastry, crimping the edges with a fork to seal. Bake in a larger oven for 45 minutes or until browned nicely on top.
Note: I ended up adding some mince to it as it cooked down quite a bit and needed to bulk it up more. Not added to ingredients as I'll just buy more steak next time!
