Seems that after the last two years that Alstonville is a place we all enjoy visiting so thought I would throw this out early for a COG at Alstonville in April 2018.

Might I suggest the weekend of 21-22 April 2018 and the usual days either side.

Will need to confirm that weekend with the Showgrounds Committee.

Any takers.

We are empty nesters, have been for a long time LOL so school holidays don't present a problem.
Like others we enjoy Alstonville, three Op Shops so what's not to like?
Count us in.  PD and bride.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

No big deal Tadpole, we have been doing that drive (Glenn Innes to around Wiluna etc.) every year for the last 6.
Takes around 8 days, depending on weather, head wind etc. with great camp spots along the way.

After a 3-4 month spell we return home via the NE (Halls Creek, Katherine etc.) so with a few little side tracks you only put another 16000k. or so on the clock.

You can do it......... just that I don't suggest 3-4 months in Alstonville.
Forgot to mention, we usually manage to snag a little of your gold along the way.... Shocked

I did Brisbane to Perth in 1987... took 5 days.
Spent 2 weeks there and 10 days coming home.
Was a great holiday.. had our first born with us that was just short of his third bitthday.

Maggie spent some of her early life in WA and we are also looking at a trip that way at some stage.  Most likely not this year though Smiley

Unfortunately we are going to be in Tassie for this one.

I haven’t contacted the Showgrounds as yet.

If people are still interested can someone take this over and do the organising.

After some discussion amongst people a decision has been made to cancel this COG.

People are now planning on heading to SA for the COG there.
