Are there any active members from WA interested in having a COG over this way? I would really like to attend one just to see what happens and maybe meet a few members. Just an expression of interest really

I am a couple of years off travelling to WA with the van.
When i get there, I'll be more than happy to be there for a COG.
Doing the eastern states first.
Hope you get something off the ground before then.

I've been trying to keep my eyes open for any WA members but haven't come across many that are active. Would love to dedicate a trip across the country to attend one but all our spare cash is going into savings for a house at the moment so that'll be a few years away yet

Tadpole, good chance Maggie and I will be over that way in late 2018 or 2019.  Will have to arrange a get together. We have another member over there called LG who seems to be avoiding the forum and needs a kick up the butt but I know her and hubby would be interested in a get together as well.

Maybe do some planning in the new year.

Awesome, I feel a bit less lonely over here now  Smiley
I'll be interested for sure Derek. Wouldn't mind seeing some pros work their camp ovens. I was hoping to catch up with shackles when he came through but I missed his message on here unfortunately.
I am hoping to get across to one the SA gatherings one day as the Great Australian Bight is something I need to see, so I hope to kill 2 birds with one stone.

There is a very good chance we will be over there again next winter anywhere between Kal. and Wiluna, E to Laverton, W to Cue.
Maybe could catch up, at least a beverage or 2, maybe a camp somewhere and some CO cooked meals.
We would be pretty flexible, and if other COCIA members around becomes a friendly little COG!  Cool

Sounds good mikel. That's the perfect time of year out here too. Starting to get hot now, temps are creeping up into the high 30s. Time to pack the camping gear away for a few months
