I attacked my choofer today with a angle grinder, been planing on doing this for a while.

The hole will need a bit of a tidy up later on.

Put a bit of 1/4” punch plate on the inside rack for a heat disperser.

...

first go with the new gas ring fitted.

Impressed JC, I'm always playing around with this sort of thing, I've just built a rocket stove which I'll take to Silverton, photos coming.

Just noticed in your photo John.  Very clever getting the burner with two taps.  Would certainly make it easy for adjusting heat because as we all know you dont need much under a camp oven.

Bit more of a upgrade
Derek I have found the two taps handy, roasting I am using the outside ring, slow cooking the inside ring.
