I hate tents. Sleeping is one of life’s great pleasures, but it can also be tortuous, but too many tents have been my torture chamber. Often I experienced a bad night’s sleep due to rocks or tree roots sticking out under our tent. In a hammock you’ll sleep without having to worry about what’s under you. What dou you prefer more?

I'm a swag man as well. Used to do the blow up air mattresses, but got sick of the slow leaks leaving me on the deck in the morning

A good Hammock can be a very comfortable, a bad one can be worse than sleeping in a pile of rocks or roots.
A good swag with a reasonably good mattress is hard to beat. A good mattress does not mean those crap thin things they supply with most commercially made swags these days.

I like swags.
Prefer to have them a little open.
Do not like enclosed spaces much.

Yeah I'm still using the thin entry-level mattress in mine. Been meaning to upgrade it ever since I got it. I only seem to remember when I wake up in the morning feeling like I slept on the ground! One day.....

So easy to get away with a tent / swag.

I remember having restful sleeps on an air mattress.

If I could get up from a camping mattress, I would still do it  Cheesy

GROMET, where is your secret hide a way?
