Took the kids up to North Pool again on the weekend. Has to be my favourite location out here. The budgies were out in force this time, and we had a pair of Port Lincoln Ringneck's nesting in the tree directly above us. Had a chat to a prospector who was staying in the area and showed us some of his finds. He wasn't having much luck in the North Pool area though.
Had plans to cook a potato bake for the monthly challenge, but it failed because I was off chatting to the prospector and didn't keep the heat up to it so we ate semi raw potatoes with a perfectly cooked roast chicken!
All in all it was a pretty good little trip  Smiley

Makes a bloke quite envious tadpole, some of our favourite country up that way. Great pics and story. Cool
Have bought some interesting aboriginal art from the community gallery at the shire building. Came with authenticity certificates and very reasonable prices.
The Gold Gods have also been kind to us in that area also.
Sadly, from what we saw last winter, Wiluna and its  local economy is going downhill too fast to be healthy. Sad

The pub had fencing all around it so I'm not sure what's happening there. The shop seemed to be doing OK, paid $1.61 for fuel which wasn't too bad considering the location.
We had a it's full of aboriginal children come through on Saturday using more traditional yabby catching methods (meat on a piece of string), I left my opera house nets sitting in the creek while they were there, didn't want to look like a cheat 😂
