Hi every one. Having used my dads old camp oven a few times  in the past with some successes and some disasters, I gravitated to LPG use. With the recent passing of my Dad I am now the proud owner of his camp oven and am now looking forward to improving my success to disappointing ratio. When I work my way around this site I hope to find if this old oven has any history to it.
Cheers Cheesy

Welcome to the forum Wayne.

If you can post up some photos of your Dad’s old oven, particularly showing any wording or design on it we have quite a lot of knowledge on here and there is no doubt someone who can identify it.

Welcome Wayne

We love pictures of everything  to do with camp ovens So don't be shy and put up your photos  both good and bad it doesn't matter The bad ones will often get a suggestion on what went wrong and how to improve your results
And once again welcome to the group

I have attached some photos and what is on the lid if my photo doesn't pick up is Albion No 12 Maryborough and on the pot is Albion Stove Works Maryborough.
The last meal cooked in it was a hearty beef stew with cheese and chilli dumplings. This one was a success and as good as it was that night for dinner I have to admit it was even better on toast for breakfast the next morning.

Beautiful old oven. Would have to be at least 100 years old now. Made in Maryborough Queensland.

Needs to be looked after mate.

Yes nice old Aussie Oven , there is quite a bit about them in the forums history section.
Sizes that they made started at 8 inch and ended around 20 or 22 inch as far as I know, the biggest Ive seen in the flesh was an 18 incher.
