Great idea for collecting fees.
Ranger should attend daily to collect for it to work.
I'm sure there would be some people who would try and dodge the fees.

There is a guy beside us who is in a little two man tent contrary to the rules.

Be interesting to see if they police the rules though.

Must admit though that so far in all our travels this trip we have only seen one ranger checking and he only did a drive through at a camp in Tassie.

Love the long jetties down here in South Aussie.  If you look carefully you can see our motorhome in the background in the park where we are staying.

The beach here is currently covered in over a metre of seaweed.  Not sure if that is normal or not.

Nice free camp on the banks of the Lake Alexandrina right beside the Narrung Ferry.

Has toilets and rubbish bins.  Can have a fire and stay for three nights.

In the third photo just behind Maggie’s head you can see the lighthouse.  This is the only inland lighthouse in Australia.

I was planning to go over on the ferry to continue our trip but after watching a caravan drag the back of his van trying to get off it have given that idea away.

Even some of the locals are pretty friendly.

The last pack of the premium Tassie salmon I bought down there.  Also the last two slices of Tassie sourdough.  The Tassie Duck River butter is gett ing low as well.  Sad

This Huon is the best smoked salmon I have ever eaten by far and I cannot get that quality from my normal shops in Qld so may have to look further afield.

Look at that poached egg.  Eat your heart out Jamie Oliver  Grin Grin

Our next two nights were at The Murray Bridge Tourist Park.  Great park with big drive through sites.

Caught up on the washing and stocked up the pantry

Four nights at Towitta Park for our camp oven gathering.

What a place.  Heaps of room, flushing toilets, good water and a huge verandah to shelter from the weather.

Lots of great food and good company made this a memorable weekend

Tonight at Pringle Mail Rest Area not far out of Balranald.  Tucked in behind the trees we are the only ones here.

Plenty of room but no facilities other than a few bins and gazebo type shelters.

First time we have had the Kingaroy Choofer out while travelling this trip.

Back in civilisation at a friends place in Mangoplah, NSW.

Hooked up to power and enjoying a freshly brewed coffee from the coffee machine.  Grin
