Went down to Woolies before to get some lozenges (yep still struggling with the flu) and typical of me I had to walk through the meat department didn’t I.  Grin Grin

Came across some packs of steak and kidney.  Yummo.  We don’t often see it at all.

Now what to make.

Must be pie time I think.  Cheesy

Another thing that I noticed was corned ox tongue.  One day, even knowing that Maggie will never eat it, I will buy one and have a go.  Shocked

I like a good steak and kidney pie, but I am the only one that will eat it. I have not had a ox tongue for some time, good hot and even better as cold sliced meat.
As for lamb shanks, beef cheeks are going the same way. Huh

Steak and kidney pie.....great winter comfort food, we often have it.
My favourite little trick is to arrange 3-4 whole anchovies in it just under the crust. Gives a great flavour boost Tongue
