Been cold nights camping the last couple of nights.

Just run out of my wood supply and too early to go to bed.

Tipped a couple of doz heat beads in the new fire bucket and plenty of heat blazing out of it.

if you put a few in an old tin and put them under your chair that  will warm the hole of your body ( try it it works)

That's a good trick Kev. Have done the shovel of coals before, but haven't thought of using a few heatbeads.

The only danger is doing that after eating a baked bean jaffle  Cheesy

I've done this recently when I couldn't be bothered collecting firewood and the kids desperately wanted roasted marshmallows. Heat beads worked a treat and warmed us up as well

SmokeyDave would have fainted if he read this post  Shocked

I remember the old days when he was complaining that heatbeads wouldn't cook his lamb roast until he realised that 6 beads just wasn't enough. I can't stir him too much, as I was no different when beginning using heat beads  Grin Grin

Kev, there are no gasses or taste with Heat Beads.  They are primarily made for Weber Kettles where the food is enclosed inside.
