I think we have discussed this casually at before however was looking around and found the link to WikiCamps.

The old Baan Baa School has been turned into a camp ground.  No power but water and hot showers.

This certainly looks a good venue for a future COG.

Check out the link and give us some thoughts???

Cheers

This gives some idea of location and would be our chosen trip should we go down there.

I stayed there several weeks ago on my way to the COG at Alstonville and would thoroughly recommend it, hot showers, flush toilets and a caretaker who personally welcomes you, $10 p/n per person. Although we didn't try it the pub over the road is supposed to be good for meals etc. Ample room for our group and there is a bit of fire wood on site and I'm sure more could be arranged.
The owners are farmers and are doing it tough with the drought, this camping area is just a sideline.

Rob.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

Thanks Rob.  I am itching to get out and about again for a COG but the current drought situation and fire bans are not in our favour.

We are heading up to a little place called Peach Trees camp ground near Jimna in SE Qld on Sunday for a few days R&R.

Looking forward to it.
