We initially only came for a week and that was up yesterday but when you don’t have a care in the world and pristine beaches like these to wander around we are staying until Friday.

Hi Derek
Thankyou for the photos of your trip away.
I remember back in the late 70's camping at Hastings Point and Pottsville, fishing for whiting and bream in the creek near the caravans parks.
Also standing shoulder to shoulder with other men fishing for the tailer and the big swallow tail (dart) in the surf.
What a great life we had then
Enjoy the rest of your time away
Kevvie

Kev, we walked up the beach on dusk yesterday on the low tide.  Three of the best melon holes I have ever seen on a beach all within a couple of hundred yards of each other.

My first thoughts were dart, bream and whiting with the possibility of a jew lurking after dark.

Didn’t bring any fishing gear though.

Sunny with quite strong winds today.  There is also a severe fire warning although that won’t affect us here.

Thinking of pulling the awning down.

Don't worry about the fishing gear. Just think the fish there now will be bigger next time you come.
Lesley goes in hospital again on Monday for a major op so hopefully once she is better a caravan trip to Pottsville will do her the world of good.
regards Kev

We arrived home yesterday afternoon.

Took this photo early morning as we were heading down for our last walk on the beach before packing up.
