Being away in the motorhome we missed stir up Sunday which is traditionally the Sunday prior to Christmas when you start on your Christmas Puddings.

Who is making a pudding this year??

Have always been a fan of Jamie Oliver and this would have to be the easiest Christmas pudding recipe I have come across.

We will probably just make a fruit cake and it also serves up nice with custard and ice-cream.  Smiley

Yes, a home cooked fruit cake for us also. But......I do have a penchant for a certain red spiced rum so a few injections of this during the "seasoning period" will be applied. Wink

Every year the wife makes two larhe and two small fruit cakes.
This year one lot in sherry and the other in rum liqueur.

Will check out the puddingvideo as I still remember mum doing hers in the laundry copper.

Ah yes, I remember that recipe Rory.  Was always going to try it.

Sadly very few in our extended family eat Christmas Pudding.

As a kid in England it was just not Christmas without the traditional boiled pudding.......complete of course with "thrupenny bits".
Just after the war and not a lot of ready's, Mum used to add a few small buttons.
Always around 6-8 for Christmas dinner, the hilarious laughter when someone popped a "fly button" out of their mouth.  Cheesy
