It is that time again and I have started on my Christmas goodie making.

1.2 kilograms of fruits are marinating in a good rum for the cake

...

Have also made a few batches of rum balls with different coatings

...

What are other people doing????

The wife has four kilo of fruit soaking, 2kg in sherry and 2kg in rum liqueur. I might try a boiled pudding later. Cheers

Back in the kitchen today.

These things are more fiddly to make.  Inside is crumbled up Christmas pudding (brandy flavoured one from Woolies) mixed with some overproof rum and a mixture of melted dark chocolate and butter.

This was rolled into balls and dipped in dark chocolate.

When dry they were drizzled of white chocolate and decorated with green and red glacé cherries.

Quite decadent.

That Rum bottle must be starting to run low Derek, you seem to have been busy with it.
