Went down the road to Aldi today and boneless lamb loin roast was on again.

They are all around the 800/900 grm mark and at $17.99 a kilo so grabbed a few for the freezer.

This is pretty good considering I saw lamb loin chops in a butcher recently for $39.99 a kilo.

These little roast averaging around $15 each and usually do us for two meals.

Geez Derek, how are we goin to get that sort of lamb down here in Old South Wales when yous'e blokes are cornering the market up there??

Was in our local Aldi (110km. away) this week and stocked up on UK cheeses (Stilton, Lancashire etc.) plus some very decent speck.
Chris's son coming over from UK so thought a nice surprise in order.

No doubt Aldi is making significant inroads on both imported goods (worsts, cheeses, spice grinders etc.) but a range of other more practical/homemaker goods also......look out when Costco arrives eh, it will really be on! Cheesy

Yep mikel, we've been buying some of Aldi's vacuum packed meat and poultry, haven't had a poor one yet. As Derek says it does well in the Weber and we get two meals out of it.
Not only Costco but Amazon will be here soon.

Rob.

Our Costco has been built and was supposed to open in November last year.

Been some argy bargy between them and Main Roads as it is just off the Warrego Highway.

The buildings and the garage are all done but still as of a few days ago no roadworks.

Yes Michael the cheeses are pretty good and not only that their Aldi brand soft cheeses are made in the Gippsland and they are pretty darned good as well.

Have a read through here.  There is lots and lots about Weber cooking.  Any specific questions let me know.

They really are very easy to use.  I have two of them.  A Baby Q that stays with the motorhome and the bigger Q in my outdoor cooking area at home.
