Well unlike you Queenslanders daylight saving came in here in the southern states in the early hours of the morning. For those affected you may need to change the time on the forum. To do so go into your profile and bring up the Options Page. On there you will see a check box to enable daylight saving. Put a tick in the box and save your new setting.

Sorry Derek, We Queenslanders REFUSE TO BE INTIMINIDATED. Our clocks are right and have been for hundreds of years. Never interfere with nature >:(
Try and live in the North Qld climate with daylight wasting time. Just hopefully it will induce some of the vast hordes of southern immigrents to go back to Mexico and stay there rather than come up here and continually WINGE about not having 7 day trading, too hot, too many flies too many mossies / sandflies. :'( Hell if it cost $10-00 to send one back I'd put in $100-00 and send him and 9 of his winging mates back. Now about winging Kiwi's OOPS better shut up and go to bed and wake up at NORMAL TIME Nite Kev |

Ok, I took it out. We've fallen back over here.
& next year is going to be just awful. What with the U.S. extending Daylight savings time to save heat costs, they say. It's been so bloody dark in the morning going to work. I can take dark coming home much better. Now, we'll see how well this took. :) |

Oh those other states that have to start an hour earlier just to keep up with us Qlanders in summer and really what is the real benifit its still hot at the end of the day say 4pm no matter what time the clock says putting the hour hand on 5pm just wont change the temreture in fact all it does is have you driving or your kids walking home in the really hot part of the day instead of being under cover where they should be and when you think about it time should suit the climate not business

Now, now, namesake of Camp Oven, when I look at http://www.worldtimezone.com/datetime.htm it always seems to me that it gets dark awful early by the east coast clock. & it's daylight a long time before y'all open your eyes.
Have a look at my island of residence and see what I mean. If in doubt consult time given for St. John's here: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ :P |
