Hello .... I'm a new Member.  I accidently came across the IDOS site in America when I was looking for another 2 Camp Ovens identical to the one I currently have. Derek replied to my post there and told me of this site.

I didn't realise there were whole forums devoted to Camp Ovens. It came as a bit of a surprise. I have always cooked in cast iron, at least for the last 25 years, even for normal cooking in the kitchen at home.

My girlfriend and myself are not exactly campers. We travel widely over Australia, mainly in western NSW, for our holidays each year. We stay in small towns like Tibbooburra, Menindee, Bourke etc. We usually stay in Hotels and make sandwiches for lunch and cook for ourselves at night.

Hope I am welcome here and can contribute something from time to time. Although my one and only camp oven may be a bit radical by your standards as well as the maintenance methods I use on it ... LOL

I will post a pic in the  equipment forum, perhaps someone will recognise it and know where I can get another?
