Title: Millmerran '08
Post by poddy dodger on Nov 14th, 2007 at 11:43am
I see Millmerran getting a mention here recently, I went last year and had such a brilliant time I have already booked in for the next one in October '08.
I took a few of my little black pots there hoping to swap or sell something but no luck, only Chinese made Furphys and a couple of seriously overpriced second-hand Taiwanese ovens you wouldn't have as a gift.
Who else intends going ??

Poddy
I will be going with my wife Judy. And a freind and his family, he has a brother in Millmerran.
I go to Millmerran every year for a big clay target shoot in May camp at the range 120 or so campers top week end.

Depends PD,  don't think I can invent $ for '10, and '12 would be a year's delay in my present 'hopes/plans'.

If you keep talking about it, I'll...............

As Muzz indicated, I'd certainly like to go. Not sure how it'll pan out but I'll be trying to make it work. I usually take the 'Minister' & tin lids up for the clay target shoot & I think they'd all be keen for the festival.

Booking a site anyway.

Millmerran '06. It was hot and dusty, the flies were bad, the showers and toilets were not up to the demand but would I go again ? You bet, it was a lot of fun.

TR. About Millmerran,  I'm trying to answer your question without getting too wordy, it's full on camping, motorhomes, campervans and caravans with a few tents thrown in. Last time in '06 they closed the gates after 3000 vehicles, the organisers had never anticipated those numbers and the facilities barely coped.

Live country music 'til late, yep, rednecks, yep, camp ovens, yep, horse whisperers, shearing displays, old machinery, market stalls, a rural mail box contest, camp oven cooking competition YEAH ! Food stalls, camp ovens or did I say that already ? Demos on seasoning, cooking damper, billy boiling in fact something for every-one.
See you there.

Thanks boys I'll whip out the moleskins & press the threads, better get the wobbly boots ready as well.
Went to the gympie muster this year but this event sounds to be the go & I am really looking forward to it!
Haven't confirmed the booking yet but sounds like I better get to it pronto!
