Title: Merry Christmas To All Post by Derek Bullock on Dec 12th, 2007 at 1:53pm
Merry Christmas folks!
I am taking this opportunity now to wish you all a Merry Christmas as I don't expect to be online for a little while. Back in early November you might recall I went AWOL for a while. At that time my 80 year old ex-mother in law who I love dearly had to undergo a heart bypass operation. The operation didn't go to well and she spent some days in intensive care and is still recovering and only just able to walk around. This week, her husband and my best mate for many years had a car accident and has severely damaged his lower right leg. He is 85 years old and is expected to be in hospital for several weeks and it could be several months before he can even put weight on that leg. It's been a rugged few months for the family and isn't going to be a really Merry Christmas for us but at least we still have the old folks and my kids only Grandparents. My parents both passed away a few years ago. I am driving to Queensland tomorrow and do not know that I will be online until the new year but I do wish you all the very best for Christmas and hope you all have a great holiday. Regards Derek |

'Compliments of the season' from me & mine to you & yours Derek, & to all members of COCIA.
I certainly endorse those sentiments already extended. You (& family) certainly seem to be going through a rough patch at present. Winston Churchill once said 'When you're going through hell......keep going' . I've always hung onto that, as I thought it was pretty solid advice. Xmas will be what you make it, so jump in & rally the troops & we all hope things pan out for the better in the end. Safe travels. Hooroo for now, [smiley=1.gif] |
