Title: Washed up! Post by skiproosel on Feb 5th, 2008 at 5:50pm
Hi All,
I don't remember who posted a happy snap of their CO fireplace but thanks anyway-great idea. I got an 8KG Hoover and removed the stainless bowl. Because the bottom wasn't flat I cut that section out and riveted a stainless patch over the cutout. If anyone does this there is one note to ponder-you MUST remove the grommet on the outside of the top band and pour out all the black sand out (used for counterweight) because if you don't! -it will explode and cover everyone in very hot sand. I saw it happen on one of my mates' at the Gympie Muster. Will post a happy snap when I have used it. All the best Skip IMG_1082_Small.JPG (56 KB | ) |

I thought I would post a happy snap of the bung that needs to be removed to pour out the black sand.
DON'T forget to do it if you make one. Regards Skip PS. Carolyn take particular note as your track record of exploding things is a bit ordinary ;D ;D Skip IMG_1083_Small.JPG (44 KB | ) |
