Thanks Cornelius,
some great pictures in there! And thanks for solving the puzzle about the location. I still think I would have trouble there, not sure I could climatize that well. regards Skip |

Skip,
As I have suggested to other Aussies, don't buy clothing for colder climates in Oz. At least go to the climbers in NZ. Better yet, places where it gets good and cold. & talk to those who know. You need different insulation for a dry cold than a humid cold. The case in point. People who went to Japan for a skiing holiday. I will just bet that Japan is much more humid than just about any place in Oz (the just about being Tassie) 8-) Cornelius, do you use that site at all for planning your trips? Or refer others to it, especially, those of us from across the pond? :-/ |

No LK, I never used this site but I have told other about it. I suppose it’s a good site for people that go “wild” camping or boon-docking, something that my better half frowns upon. :-X
Anyway, I never plan that much, it took me 3 years to reach Scotland and only because I was determent to get there that time. I always got side tracked by other interesting places so I ran out of holidays before I got there. |

That's very useful, thank you, Cornelius. With a pup, you know a 70 lb. pup or two 'wild' camping is such fun.
I think Aussies call it 'free' camping. eh!!! :-/ |
