WHAT IT MEANS TO ME

Strolling down a track today just listening to the bush
I fancied in my daydreams that I only had to look
And I would see just out of sight a touch of outback wonder
Along the creek a magic place where bushmen like to wander

Just up a ways I see him move a big old sand goanna
And not to far a foot or two his frill raised like a banner
Sits game as hell no backward step its not his way to falter
The frillneck rears upon his toes to check this freak of nature

Who enters here and shares his bush but leaves without disturbing
The wandering creek the quiet bush the willow tree thats bowing
Its branches brush the waters edge into the water flowing
A tail flicks out to give the sign of hungry fish thats feeding

I settle down to soak it in upon a fallen tree branch
And I drink it in  the bushland smell while sitting by the creek bank
Then faintly while you share the feel an echo sends its message
Of bushland calls that flow and heal the inner peace of passage

The bushmans love of going out and joining in with nature
Beats strong within no matter where the bushman seems to wander
The city life that civilised just cannot beat the wonder
Of heading back to be a part of outback bush and nature

Yes, Furph, you've got it.

There is place near the top of my present veggie garden where I like to sit under a tree I planted.  Just to sit an quietly watch the birds come check out what's growing, the cat creep on quiet feet & late in the day the  toads hop out for their feed, while later the bats cruise overhead looking for the same menu as the toads.

I'm wondering where on my new to me property can I create a place like that.
