Title: Fire pits for the backyard
Post by Crazy_Dog on Apr 21st, 2008 at 12:15pm
Hi Guys and Gals..

Does anyone have a pic or 2 of a fire pit they have made for the back yard.

I saw one here a few weeks back but cannot find it again.

Gunna approch Queensland Fire and Rescue to see if they are ok to have in Cairns.

Grrr!!! :D

Hey Crazy_Dog.

I'm pretty sure you can have a fire upto 2mtr x 2mtr x 2mtr providing there is no fireban on. AND there is an adequite fire break around it, common sense will go a long way in this area. I'm in our local Rural Fire Brigade and we are quite happy to see people cleaning up there blocks (small fires/burning palm frons etc.) as long as common sense prevails. The more they clean up their yards the less we have to put out when the fire rips through.

I think this is the link your after, try "search button" Its very handy once you get the hang of it.
