For quite some time, when I travel around and check in at Antique & Collectables Stores, I often leave my business card and ask to be called if any old camp ovens come up for sale.

Got a call today from a guy in Goulburn, NSW saying that an estate he was pricing has an 18" Metters Camp Oven in it.  Mind you he didnt offer it to me but was interested in it's worth.

To cut a long story short.  It will come up on eBay before to long but may have a reserve of around $400.00  His description is the base is good but the lid is pitted and you can hardly see the Metters 18 writing on the lip.  The other thing he said was that it had 18 cast into the side somewhere.

Keep your eyes open.

Maybe he was waiting for you to put a bid/offer on it Derek :)
