This pot is suffering from some rust.
Is anybody familiar with the name etc.
Is it really collectable.
Its pickup only and may suit Victorians only

Being only a young whippersnapper I dont know much about the antique status of it.
The base looks pretty cool, like the handle.....but shes only got a tin lid.
Maybe its not original.
Good old Decker should know, myself....dont like it.

I collect the clark pots and lids and i'm always interested if anyone comes across any. I happened to buy this one, picking it up next week in Vic.

Aart, these pots are boilers and not camp ovens, mostly made in England they came with tin lids which rusted out PDQ. They were used for making jam etc over a fuel stove.
I called into an antique shop in Castlemaine in May and they had quite a few boilers and dozens of lids, sold separately.
They are not hard to come by so don't bring the same sort of $$$ that COs do..

Thanks for the feedback mate.
Can't imagine they are much good for the type of cooking I do.
Mind you, probably be good for boiling up a pot of beans or carrots.
