No eye deer Mick
That handle is an obvious replacement as stated.
Can't say I've seen ae lid with that shaped edge.

Mind you I am a newbie when it comes to old CI

Yeh the lid has a fair sort of dome to it, bit the ears are flat like a chinese.
Come to think of it , the bail looks thick compared to the size, so my guess is it is the same as my little 10" chinese oven

Hey Mick

$26 bid plus $14.50 postage.
You could drive to BCF and get one rust free for that amount.

I guess ebay makes smart people rich and not so smart poor.

Not quite Aart,
Iv'e had that one of mine nearly 20yrs & have only ever seen 1 other like it, at the Vacy show I did a few months back!

note the high dome, as said, & the steep angle on the sides, it has quite thick walls too.

take no notice of the notch bent in to the bail, I do that to all my smaller ovens for the tripod.
I'm not sure where mine was made, I'm only assuming it was Chinese.

It certainly doesn't look like classic Aussie Iron.
