Title: A Few More
Post by Mackerel Whisperer on Aug 2nd, 2008 at 3:49pm
Went to a swap meet in Rocky today, Well... it was camp oven central :o

Picked up a Metters 10 in top condition and An Albion 13 in just as good nic. Really happy with the results. 100 bucks ea.

Nearly handed over $190 for a pristine Albion 14 until I spotted a tinny crack in the bottom where it had been dropped on one of the legs.

Ther would have been another 5 or 6 old 12" no names, An Albion 13" Real rusty and pitted, Heap of Chinese ovens, 10 or so asorted boilers - clark & co. Etc. And I only got there at 1pm. Gates opened at 6am.

Next year I will be waiting for the gates to open

Cheers

Jono

I'm green with jealousy.
Do yerself a favour Jono, get some 6mm stainless rod and make up bails for both those babies, it makes them so much easier to handle on n' off the fire.

Hey Jono, did you pick up the baby there too?
That looks great, how much would those little buggers hold?
Got me thinking, they would be good individual hot pots.
cheers George ;)

Great buys, the little itsy bitsy one is soooo cute.

Saw probably a chinese one around that size (with lid) that they used to use for garlic prawns when it came out in pots at St Vinnies yesterday $5 - back in Buselton they were 4 for $5  [smiley=cry.gif].

Love the tiny one!

Saw one about this size at BBQ Galore - used for garlic prawns. But it didn't have legs or a handle on the lid or pot.  Left it in the store.

Great buy.
