Another shipment from Cabelas arrived this week.

I found myself using the 20" Camp Chef lid all the time for a fry pan so the Skillet will be well used.

It's good to see Cabelas stocking Lodge Camp Ovens again.  I can now increase my collection.

nice pickups mate, you know how I feel about Lodge Ovens, I reckon they are the best. I have a set and don't need any more of them either :) my set has a 6,8,10,12,14 & 16" in it.
I do have a set of Camp Chef ovens but prefer the Lodge.

Told 'ya you wouldn't get a teardrop handle ;D better give 'em an email Jono ;D

They currently have the 12" deep, 10" and 8" on the website Skip.

I just ordered the 10" and 12" deep as I already have a 10" deep and an ordinary 12"

The 12" Lodge is turning out to be my favourite oven.  Can cook anything in it.

It will never end. You have the dreaded itch that can only be satisfied by collecting more cast iron, but you can never collect enough.

On another note Amazon.com also sells Lodge Brand.

Ok Derek, have you checked out freight from this source?

You, see I have the impression that Cabelas had a rather special and unusual deal going with your earlier orders and that freight from the US is usually much higher than Cabelas volume allowed them.

I have tried a number of times on different things but have never been able to get Amazon to send cast iron to Australia.

LK, Cabelas still have the same deal with freight to Australia and still one of the cheapest that I have come across.

Can't say I'm surprised about Amazon.  Even for books I prefer other sources.

Well, if they're reading here, let's tell them of all the threads pointing to camp oven festivals.  I admit I've not looked at the new Cabelas catalogue.  Any clues for searching?

NOpe, no real clues fopr searching.  The cast iron is under >>camping>>outdoor cooking>>cast iron and dutch ovens

Ok, found them.  The lid lifter looks an  awful lot like the Mair.  & those bags they are worth their weight in gold.  I know of a case where they were packed in a tight stack, each in a bubble wrap and thrown from an accident.  Almost all came through in tact.
