Thank you all.  & thanks George for saying Canada.  Well, speak funny - where I just moved from a lot of people have the accents of their ancestors from west country British Isles.  & this changes from bay to bay.  Still I don't think we have as many accents up here as are down south of us in the states.

So, George, roughly how many different accents are there in Australia?

Yeah, CD, I sort of debated after the move when I put up "The Maritimes" for new location here, that it could be too Canuck a phrase.

The Martitimes is New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.  I've just crossed The Gulf of St. Lawrence from Newfoundland, so in a nutshell eastern Canada.
