Title: Camel Camper Trailer Post by Derek on Apr 22nd, 2009 at 9:31pm
I am looking for expressions of interest in the sale of my "Home Away From Home".
It is a fully optioned Camel Nomad Light Off Road Camper Trailer. Camel are a Brisbane based firm and all construction including the tent is made at their factory at Slacks Creek. http://www.camelgroup.com.au The reason that I am selling it is that I am looking at a different style of camping/travel. What I end up with will be my "Home Away From Home - Mark II" Details and a full photos can be found here at http://www.aussiecampovencook.com/homeawayfromhome.htm I am selling it complete as seen on my website without the solar power, Coleman Lamp and Stove, bike rack, refrigerator and battery, lights and kitchen accessories. It is in used but excellent condition and has always been stored in the garage. The new price of this camper with all the options is as listed on the Camel Website at $12,015.00 http://www.camelgroup.com.au/product...ad%20On%20Road It has 6 months registration. I will consider any reasonable offer over $7,800.00 Inspection welcome. PM me for details. |

Suggest you consider this site to advertise, a once only $40 fee until sold. While here I am giving my campervan a plug!

Interesting to consider the options:
= Caravan = Campervan = Motorhome = Camper Trailer = Tent All have upsides and downsides............... Beryl and I settled on a Poptop Campervan as a compromise, like driving a car. Current one is a Toyota Hiace Poptop Campervan low mileage one owner from new, used for 4 years and shedded for the last five years due to ill health, as seen at Thora. KD |

Like Derek, we did not get one enquiry from this site.
I put our campervan on eBay two days ago and receiving good results. I did not list PayPal as an option! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150363711158&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT KD Kingsthorpe David wrote on Apr 23rd, 2009 at 5:58pm:

How did you do that. Ebay won't let you list without PayPal being an option. |

Title: Re: Camel Camper Trailer Post by Kingsthorpe David on Aug 6th, 2009 at 4:13pm
Yes I thought that, but I found out by accident that some items including cars are exempt from mandatory PayPal use.
After I listed the van I found there was an option to delete PayPal. Did you sell the Camel Derek? KD |

Campervan sold this weekend for $9,500 to an ebay buyer from Central Qld.
No PayPal, Bank Cheque payment. Quite surprised at the low ebay fees stated as $10.00 listing and $40.00 for the sale. 9 watchers and 257 views. See ebay fees at: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/fees.html KD |
