Title: Cast iron frying pans Post by Pete and Lez on Apr 26th, 2009 at 7:39pm
Hi,
Has any one used the Lodge Logic cast iron frying pans? Any good or bad feedback appreciated. Came across a store today that stocks them. They looked ok. Reasonable price. Regards Pete and Lez |

P & L, yes, I have a couple, an 8" and a 12" and use them regularly at home, indoors on a "Ceran" cook top and outside on a gas burner.
They are a great shape and lovely to use but I think the Logic pre seasoning is worthless, JMHO. I have re-seasoned mine and they are now better than an expensive non stick stainless steel frying pan I have ! pd |

Cooking Under Pressure is the major company that has Lodge products for sale here in Australia. Here is the page for their Lodge products.
http://www.underpressure.com.au/web-content/xcart_directory/xcart/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=21&sort=&sort_direction=&page=1 When this company first started importing Lodge I contacted them to see if they would also be stocking the Lodge Camp Ovens and was told that they wouldn't. Pity really. Derek |

I love my cast iorn fry pans.
Have 2 that I constantly use in the kitchen. They are just the good old camping shop jobs under 20 bucks. We have the shiney heavy based stainless versions, but all I ever use is the cast ones. Heavy, wood handle so no mucking around with anyting to pick them up. Cant see myself ever going back. |

My most used utensil in the kitchen is my 10 inch Wagner with matching lid.
I have Griswold, 2 different Canadian brands, and have had modern ones, see griddles by Lodge at various commercial restaurants, but nothing, but nothing suits my choice of weight, cast iron surface and text over the Wagner. & please note, this is Wagner, not Wagner-Ware. 1890 or before it is.
