The wife was about to throw out a rusty ring form baking dish

Thinks !!! , this may make a heat bad fire starter

punched a lot of holes , using a nail punch

some fire starters and heat beads

works for me

used some hot coals from the fire next time , OK too

tried up load image , no go

The picture is there. But I will stick with my Heat Bead Starter Chimney, super quick.

Rat3het the picture is there for me also.  Sometimes you have to wait a bit for them to upload.

I think it looks great and obviously your beads are heating up to the preferrable white/grey.  I like something different to everyone else if it works and this obviously does for you.

My prize possessions are a couple of handy things made from recycled stuff by someone on this forum, I wouldnt swap them for anything bright and shinny and squeaky clean.

just thinking [hic]
if you had alum steamer could you use as heat bead starter
put holes in bottom pan & use steamer part for beads if you
used stainless hard to drill holes in / allready got handles on
so no heat issues / alum shouldnt melt,get to hot should it
if im up a wattle please tell me . i mean saucepans , that way you
could have what ever size want ; ie sml 10beads lrg 20 beads
amber fluid going down well so any mistakes blame it  :D :D

I reckon you would need to have quite large holes though so that the flames could reach the Heat Beads.
