Title: Reseasoning a badly seasoned pot Post by Kingsthorpe David on Dec 10th, 2009 at 6:04am
This topic has been discussed but I cannot find the thread.
Can anybody find it and give me the link to it please? The issue is a Harding 13 I bought that had never been used, the eBay seller had a good idea and decided to season it, unfortunately he did not invert the pot when baking it and the oil pooled inside the base and is now a baked jelly like mass. Not sure how to clean it up. Any help appreciated. KD |

It certainly does. Many thanks Sue. Had this problem several times due to the Forum site being so large. KD |

Going to give it the white vinegar and bi-carb soda treatment with a Mr Clean scrubber recommended by a Forum member, Muzz I think. Then reseason it.
Another problem I have is a Kenrick cast ion kettle, painted with stove black inside and outside. I want to use it. How to clean off the paint on the inside. I know, BBC will say throw it in the middle of a big fire. KD |
