Title: caqmp 1770 Post by excited_newbie on May 4th, 2010 at 5:18pm
HI all
The beautiful wife Vina and myself are going camping at 1770 in exactly 11 weeks time not that I am counting but this being our first camp trip this year we are a little excited. I have a question we were there two years ago just for a look and thought this would be a nice place to camp right on the river bank we have booked a waterfront site any closer we would be in the water great. I am wondering if there would be sandfrlies there in the middle of winter does anybody have any thoughts? When I first saw 1770 way back in 1973 there were heaps of sandflies then. happy cooking en chris and vina |

Just make sure you are prepared for Sandflies all the time the suckers there are ravenous. When about they are about as thick as I have ever seen anywhere. (Be warned) make sure you have plenty of repellent and replace it regularly. Great place to visit though, and super fishing. Regards Skip [smiley=chris.gif] |
