What kind of computer clean up tools have you run of late.
Thursday or Friday I had notice, 'do you want to install this ad-on for your Firefox'. then it said, 'this is old, we're taking it out.' AHEM! Had 5 or 6 sites I couldn't get to. I think I started with CCleaner, then extra run of Avast anti-virus, then SpyBot S&D. All sites back after running SpyBot S&D. I haven't run Ad-aware full yet. But something in one of those computer clean-up tools usually works for me. & sometimes it is the login. I read without logging in here because it's faster. :-/ |

Hey Kev
There are no pop up adds on the forum. LK is on the right track. You may have some malaware that needs cleaning out. Cheers Derek |

No Derek not wireless, Pop Up ads have stopped but still have to log in every time. Only on COCIA all other sites retain my log in details?

Really weird because nothing has changed on the forum, |

Another "log in on entry" here as well. The browser remembers my username and password but will not do the auto thing.
My 2c worth.... |

Stop sooking, I can't even fix it for myself. Funny thing though is that it only does it on the laptop and not my main PC.
I am using XP and Firefox and just can't seem to get it right. Sorry Derek |

Title: Re: STAYING LOGGED IN Post by Derek on May 23rd, 2010 at 9:07pm
Most likely not Kev. It has to be some sort of a setting on the computer but buggered if I can find it. The files on the forum that create the cookie to allow you to stay logged on haven't changed so it has to be in our computers
Like I said my main computer is fine |

Derek, had a play today, ran all debuggers, deleted everything in history cookies etc.
No problem with IE, it logs me on asap. Firefox now keeps log in name and password but still have to log in? Strange seems to be a Firefox glitch Kev |

IT seems to me to be something to do with XP and Firefox. I have both on the laptop and it wont stay logged on yet on the main PC with Vista and Firefox I have no issues.
Weird |
