Nice Tender little fellows there Trev, & shot with an air rifle, nice going!
One of the best ways I've done 'em before, is jointed, browned in a pan & wrapped in foil with some herbs. They stay nice & moist this way. http://www.aussiecampovenforum.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1206495403 Mick. |

Nova Scotians often run a snare trail.
Or hunt them with a rabbit hound, who probably looks a lot like a beagle. I did both. Bake with 1 slice of bacon on top of each rabbit and 1/2 an onion in the chest cavity. 8-) |

BBC is on the right track, I have cooked a good few over years and I found rabbits love basil, brown rabbits with olive oil and little soy sauce and a sprinkle of basil, warp in foil and cook slowly until cooked . I only eat rabbits that I shoot myself.

my last bunnie was cooked over my auspit... more for the atmosphere than the end product.. very dry. I did neglect the cooking process though. should have basted it more often :-/ :-/ |
