Title: Another sandgroper Post by Burnsy on May 6th, 2011 at 3:07pm
Another newby here from Perth. Found my way here via myswag, what a great site this is. I have a 12 inch bedourie that is about 20 years old and I love cooking in it whenever we get the chance. Mostly damper and roasts but will explore some of the other beaut recipes I see here now.
I have had a look but can not find a thread dedicated to permanent home firepits. Is there one? I want to build a permanent structure out of recycled solid double brick. Either a ring or an oval and would love to see what others have for ideas. Cheers, Burnsy |

Burnsy welcome
Mine is the same as SBB, loose bricks if you have to move it it is easy, made for using beads on and is under cover. Muzz 100_1889-1_001.JPG (191 KB | ) |

Thanks guys, some nice firepits around. I had no idea that cooking with heatbeads was so popular. I have cooked with beads in my weber but never thought about using them with my CO. I was more after a firepit that I can use as a fire as well as for cooking. I guess with all the fire bans these days though heat beads mean you can cook year around, is this right?
