Title: Has anyone tried planking?

Had a thought yesterday about trying ceder planks that they use on bbq's for smoking in a camp oven. Looking at some recipes they can be used in kitchen ovens, but mainly in hooded bbq's.
Has anyone else tried this as the cost of the planks aren't cheap.
Shane.

why not it's basically the same as bbq,
might have to put wire under lid to breath
& watch temp. search bbq forum for temp
& that aussie  red cedar can be used.
