Title: Goulish/Spooky style Cooking
Post by Rufzgutz on Aug 16th, 2011 at 10:29pm
has anyone some ideas for cooking up some unusual, scarey looking type of campoven dishes  [smiley=chef.gif] [smiley=chef.gif] [smiley=chef.gif]

looking for something to put the shivers up my camping buddies

I am thinking of a Pigs Head roast ( it was done on masterchef) and maybe skewered lambs brains and rolled bacon.

open for any suggestions....must be edible....sort of  ;D

I will keep looking for the photos - here is one link:

Google Vampire Muffins, Monster hands, (sausage rolls that look like a monsters hand).

Think tomatoe sauce and let the imagination run riot.

Fruit with teeth.

Pumpkin comes to mind with Halloween, maybe some inspiration there.

The other day I heard about this annual event in some Scandanavian country, Denmark, Norway......

They bring the teeny boppers in for a lunch of sheep's head.  Thus, to find this page, I put the search term, "google norway" into my local google and once there a search for "meal made from sheep's head".

Even more suited to your requirements than I expected

that will give Cind something to create while my head is roasting  :D :D :D

and a pumpkin lantern will add some atmosphere

food colouring brings back some memories.. made pancakes in the shape of bacon and eggs with food colouring once... still remember the purple after-effect poop it produced  ;D ;D ;D will post a pic if I can find it. (the pancakes that is  :))

reckon we can knock up something using the colours.

Little_Kopit, I'm trying for scare tactics, not frighten the living daylights out of them  ;D ;D ;D

they didn't leave much of the lamb left.

talking to a chef yesterday who has baked a pigs head and he reckons the meat under the  jowel cheeks is the best  [smiley=chef.gif] [smiley=chef.gif] [smiley=chef.gif]

thanks for the tips guys, I'm starting to frighten myself at the minute  ;D ;D
