Title: Camp Oven Christmas Dinner Post by Stump Jump on Dec 21st, 2011 at 7:04am
Anyone planning on using your camp ovens to cook Christmas dinner??
Down our way this summer, it’s been quite wet and cool, the country is green and the fire risk low, so for Chrissy dinner I’ll be firing up a camp fire by the dam under the shade of a big old Lightwood tree. I’ve ear marked my 18 incher (Billman’s) for the turkey roast, Metters 12 & 13” for ancillary vegetables and a 10” Carron to hold the plum pudding while it is steamed in a Kenrick boiler. |

forecast was for 36 here in Adelaide. now revised to a more comfortable 30.
Chrissy dinner this year will be mainly seafood. my baked snapper is too big for my largest campoven. in the hooded bbq for me. will be doing oysters kilpatrick in my newfangled $39 (Kmart) electrified transparent camp oven. |
